Job summary

Fawkes & Reece in Northwest Wales is seeking a Site Engineer for a major civil engineering project. Based near Porthmadog, you will conduct precise setting-out and support quality, safety, and efficiency on site.

The role requires 2+ years on civil projects; duties include using Leica TS16 and GPS surveying tools, interpreting drawings, and coordinating with subcontracts and site teams. A CSCS card and Civil Engineering qualifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering.
• CSCS card.
• Proven setting out/site engineering experience on civil projects.
• Proficient with Leica TS16 and GPS equipment.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out precise setting out from drawings and specs.
• Deliver external civil works: pavements, road surfacing, kerbs, drainage.
• Operate Leica TS16 and GPS equipment for data capture.
• Coordinate daily operations with subcontractors/site teams.
• Manage tasks from site setup to handover with quality and safety.
