Job summary

Hyreus, based in Cumbria, seeks an experienced Sub Agent to support delivery of major civil engineering and infrastructure works for a leading Tier One contractor operating in power and nuclear sectors.

You will coordinate site operations, manage subcontractors and ensure activities meet programme, quality and safety requirements, while working closely with Site Agent and project teams to drive progress in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sub Agent or similar site management role in civil engineering/infrastructure.
• Experience on major civil projects, ideally in power/nuclear sectors.
• Experience implementing RAMS and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with NEC contracts and project delivery requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Site Agent in planning, coordination and delivery of civil works across the project.
• Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring activities are completed safely and in line with programme.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers and specialists to maintain progress against the construction programme.
• Develop and monitor short-term programmes, work schedules and resource requirements.
• Monitor site progress and implement corrective actions to maintain targets.
• Ensure construction activities comply with drawings, specifications, RAMS and method statements.
• Promote health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all site activities.
• Carry out site inspections and monitor compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate temporary works, construction sequencing, logistics and site access requirements.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports and construction documentation.
• Liaise with engineering, commercial, planning and project management teams to resolve challenges.
• Support management of design information, technical queries and changes to construction activities.
• Monitor materials, plant, labour and subcontractor resources to ensure efficient site delivery.
• Attend site meetings, progress reviews and coordination meetings with stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with legislation, project procedures and safety/quality requirements of power and nuclear environments.
• Support Site Agent in managing project risks, programme performance and delivery objectives.
