Job summary

Murphy is recruiting a Planner to support our Ground Engineering and Piling Business, based at the Tilbury JV office. This role focuses on establishing strong links with project teams, preparing resourced programmes, and contributing to risks and visual communications for planning and contracts.

You will work on civil engineering and HV power projects, using tools like P6, Asta, TILOS and QSRA, to deliver clear, contract-aware planning outputs and robust project controls.

Qualifications

• Experience on Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects.
• Experience on HV Power, Transmission & Distribution Projects.
• Use of planning software P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA.
• Active experience with planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
• Understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with the planning function.
• Understanding of Project Controls and how to create simple and effective visuals.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the relationship with project teams.
• Assimilate information and summarise it for communication to others.
• Prepare a resourced programme and review conformance.
• Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
• Prepare visual materials in support of planned methods.
• Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Support the team as advisor on programme contractual matters.
• Train project teams to read and use the programme effectively.
• Set up and maintain Project Controls to evaluate status and flag challenges.
• Handle multiple projects and submissions with organisation and attention to detail.
