Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Planner to lead planning on major civil engineering and energy transmission projects in the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone. You will develop resourced programmes, manage documentation and coordinate with design, estimator and supply chain to deliver scope on time.

You'll apply planning software such as Primavera P6, Asta and TILOS, contribute to risk analysis, and support tendering and contract delivery while maintaining clear commercial interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience on major civil engineering and/or construction projects.
• Experience working on HV Power, Transmission & Distribution Projects, preferably with National Grid.
• Proficient in planning software (P6, Asta, TILOS, QSRA).
• Experience with a range of planning techniques for tendering and contract delivery.
• Good understanding of commercial and contractual interfaces with planning.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information and summarise the work scope for communication.
• Prepare a resourced programme and review conformance with requirements.
• Contribute to the risk register and perform risk analysis.
• Prepare visual material to support planned methods.
• Manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
• Define methods and outputs with estimator and team including supply chain as appropriate.
• Liaise with design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
• Provide estimator with justified schedule of temporary works and indirect cost items.
• Attend bid review meetings and convey work scope and delivery intentions.
• Attend handover meetings with clearly defined tasks.
