Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Civil Parking Enforcement Officer to join our team at Manchester Arndale. You will patrol designated areas, respond to queries and issue penalty charge notices when vehicles are parked illegally.

The role requires excellent customer service, a calm demeanor in tense situations, and the ability to work outdoors in all weathers. The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK and be computer literate.

About The Role:

Working Pattern

40h per week
4 week rotation of the rota
early shift 8am-5pm
late shift 11.30am-8.30pm
sunday 8:30am-5:30pm

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our team as a Civil Parking Enforcement Officer.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Deal with queries and resolve problems
  • Ensure patrols are carried out efficiently and effectively
  • Issue penalty charge notices to any vehicle parked against restriction and record verbal warnings issued to motorists
  • Ensure parking equipment is working correctly and report defects promptly
  • Ensure enquiries from members of the public are dealt with promptly and politely

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • The ability to remain calm during conflict and tense situations, and a polite, credible and confident approach when dealing with members of the public
  • A willingness to work outside in all weathers
