Job summary

Granite Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join its civil engineering and infrastructure division in the United Kingdom. You will drive tenders, develop robust cost estimates, and work closely with engineering and commercial teams to win new projects.

The role requires strong numerical and analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and estimating software, and the ability to read drawings, specifications and contracts.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering or related sectors.
• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong ability to read drawings, specifications and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Analyse drawings, specifications and contract documentation to determine project scope and requirements.
• Develop accurate quantity take-offs, rates and pricing structures.
• Produce detailed cost reports and support budgeting processes throughout the tender stage.
• Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions to enhance project viability.
