Job summary

Strata Consulting in Cambridge is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Engineer with 3+ years post graduate experience to work on UK and global based projects. You will contribute to concept studies, design packages, planning applications, and construction drawings, supported by the Cambridge team.

You will engage with clients and stakeholders across development sectors, including highways, drainage, utilities and SuDS, while developing technical capabilities and progressing toward Chartership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of highway design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment and management, utility design and planning as well as knowledge of the Development Industry.
• Ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations and construction drawings with supervision.
• Familiarity with design codes and preparation of drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals.
• Experience liaising with clients, design teams and authorities to secure approvals and agreements.
• Awareness of procurement, bidding, and delivery of projects in the development sector.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to concept studies/strategies/drawing packages, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions and construction issue.
• Contributing to development projects across multiple sectors and clients.
• Managing multiple varied projects and supporting career progression within the Cambridge team.
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating design teams both internally and externally.
• Ensuring tasks are delivered to budget, programme, standards and statutory requirements.
