Job summary

Sweco is seeking a Civil Infrastructure Design Engineer to join our team across Ipswich, London or Solent offices in the UK. You will deliver drainage and highway schemes, coordinate with utilities, and contribute to project documentation and design reviews.

The role requires experience with flood risk management, civil infrastructure software, and adherence to standards (DMRB/MCHW). You will work in a hybrid, flexible environment with opportunities to lead technical delivery and project

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of flood risk management principles and infrastructure design requirements.
• Experience designing drainage, earthworks and highways for varied projects.
• Proficient with civil infrastructure software and standards.
• Experience compiling reports, calculations and planning submissions.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail drainage and infrastructure schemes for highways and buildings.
• Perform hydraulic and hydrological calculations and prepare calculation packages.
• Coordinate with utilities and multidisciplinary teams, and prepare project documentation.
• Manage design development, coordination, and client/meetings presentations.
