Job summary

VolkerLaser seeks a Project Manager or Senior Site Agent to lead civil engineering and infrastructure projects. You’ll join a HS2 slipforming tunnel project in Birmingham for about six months, then progress to major projects across the UK with potential in Europe.

The role is site-based with 12-hour rotating shifts, Monday to Saturday one week and Monday to Friday the next, emphasising safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and safety focus.
• Experience with concrete/steel repair and CDM compliance.
• Ability to develop and implement project plans, schedules and delivery standards.
• Proven leadership of site teams and supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe, compliant project delivery.
• Set strategy, plans, programmes and delivery standards.
• Own programme, cost, quality and HSE performance.
• Lead delivery strategy and manage risks, change and recovery.
• Manage site teams and supply chain to right-first-time delivery.
• Control budgets, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Manage client, stakeholder and internal reporting.
• Ensure technical, design and temporary works compliance.
• Drive company values and team development.
