Job summary

VANRATH are partnering with a leading provider of geotechnical engineering solutions seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join their Lisburn team. This role offers the chance to work on infrastructure projects and develop technical expertise within a respected organisation.

You will read drawings, prepare quotes, support sales, and produce drawings including BIM, using CAD and CRM systems. Hybrid working options and full training are available, with a supportive team focused on

Qualifications

• Proactive with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage priorities.
• Personable with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Industry experience of at least 2 years in construction or civil engineering roles.
• HND, HNC, or Degree in a relevant field.
• IT literate with competent use of CAD and familiarity with CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, quantify materials, and prepare outline quotes.
• Generate technical proposals, construction drawings, and bespoke details, including BIM.
• Support the sales team by responding to enquiries and preparing quotations.
• Use design software to undertake engineering designs in alignment with ISO9001 standards.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships, promoting company products and solutions.
• Provide technical support to construction teams and assist with site visits and presentations.
• Contribute to creating technical tools and materials to support business growth.
• Collaborate closely with regional engineers and managers to promote continuous improvement.
