Job summary

ALTEN is a global engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge civil and infrastructure projects. The Civil Engineering Technical Lead will guide multidisciplinary teams, oversee design work, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance across project lifecycles.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement within a dynamic, global engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering civil engineering design on large infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing technical specifications, studies, and engineering documentation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and complex project environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in nuclear, energy, defence, rail or other highly regulated sectors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on civil engineering design matters.
• Produce, review, and assess technical documentation and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Review technical specifications and engineering studies for compliance.
• Lead technical discussions and transfer knowledge across teams.
• Foster continuous improvement and best-practice sharing.
