Job summary
Taylor Wimpey Plc is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to provide engineering designs and support throughout development stages, from viability to construction. You will assess consultant designs, procure utilities, coordinate with statutory bodies, and ensure technical consent and regulatory compliance.
The role requires strong interpretation of geotechnical reports, site design planning, and JCT-compliant tender preparation.
Qualifications
- Strong IT/computer literacy required.
- Ability to interpret geo-technical and environmental reports.
- Understanding CDM regulations and health and safety standards.
- Experience in procuring designs and managing consultants.
Responsibilities
- Interpret geo-technical reports and make recommendations.
- Prepare initial site designs and constraint plans.
- Procure designs and quotes for utility proposals.
- Ensure compliance with NHBC standards and building regulations.
- Coordinate and manage external consultants to resolve engineering issues.
- Prepare and supply tender documentation for specialist designs.
- Extensive experience in roads, sewers, drainage and utilities design.
