Taylor Wimpey is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, delivering high-quality civil design across development stages. You will resolve planning and building warrant issues, coordinate with utilities and authorities, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes in-house design capability, CDM responsibilities, and delivering value within residential construction projects, with a strong focus on collaboration across departments and external partners.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of engineers within housebuilding or development projects.
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification; professional accreditation preferred (RICS/ICE).
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, PDS, Windes and Microdrainage; ability to undertake in-house civil design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical experts to provide high-quality engineering design and support at all development stages.
• Resolve planning application and building warrant issues as part of project delivery.
• Coordinate with utility companies, highways authorities, water companies and Environment Agency on engineering matters.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and NHBC Standards; procure technical approvals.
