Job summary

Arup invites undergraduates in Civil Engineering to join a 10–12 month internship in the United Kingdom. You will collaborate with experienced professionals, work on real projects from day one, and begin building your professional network.

You’ll participate in regular learning sessions with our leadership team, site visits to nearby projects, and social events that support your development and learning goals. This placement acts as a stepping-stone to future opportunities within Arup.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Civil Engineering with skills in Civil 3D and MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out assessment, analysis, and design, preparing design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Developing infrastructure designs for development sites in the urban environment, including urban transport, site infrastructure, pavements, utilities and drainage design solutions.
• Collaborating with Arup colleagues in other disciplines.
• Meeting with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, including site visits.
• Using specialist analysis and design software such as Infodrainage, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Bentley MicroStation, ProjectWise, ACC, Navisworks, Infraworks, Plant3D, InfoWorks, Python, and Copilot.
