Job summary

Arup in Leeds is offering a 10–12 month Industrial Internship in Civil Engineering focused on site development. From day one you will work on real projects, learning from senior engineers and gaining practical experience across design, analysis and reporting.

You will develop infrastructure designs for urban development, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and visit sites to see projects firsthand. The role suits undergraduates with Civil 3D and MicroStation skills who want to contribute

Qualifications

• Undergraduate in Civil Engineering with Civil 3D and MicroStation skills.
• Interest in sustainable development and site infrastructure design.
• Willing to learn and adapt across multidisciplinary projects.
• Engages with clients, authorities and stakeholders during site visits.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out assessment, analysis, and design, preparing design reports, drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Developing infrastructure designs for development sites in the urban environment, including urban transport, site infrastructure, pavements, utilities and drainage design solutions.
• Collaborating with Arup colleagues in other disciplines.
• Meeting with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, including site visits.
• Using specialist analysis and design software such as Infodrainage, GIS, AutoCAD/Civil 3D/Bentley MicroStation, ProjectWise, ACC, Navisworks, Infraworks, Plant3D, InfoWorks, Python, and Copilot.
