Job summary

Amey Ltd. invites applications for a Civil Engineer Graduate role within the SBIM team based in Bristol. The two-year Graduate Pathway offers mentoring, structured learning, and a guaranteed permanent position on completion, with potential professional qualification support.

Starting salary is £30,000 per annum, subject to review, and the placement covers Severn Bridges maintenance contracts across Southwest England. The role includes a planned start in April 2027 and a 40-hour week (Mon-Fri).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2:2 degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• BPSS check requirement.
• Drug and alcohol testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake numerical analysis and assessment calculations to determine structural load carrying capacity.
• Propose strengthening and maintenance options.
• Plan and undertake bridge inspections to confirm structural details and condition.
• Develop innovative solutions to enhance inspection and technical capabilities.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports.
