Job summary

Stantec in Edinburgh is offering an Apprentice Civil Engineer opportunity to gain hands-on experience on active travel, bus fund schemes, and local authority projects. You will learn to develop drawings, models, and technical notes under experienced engineers while pursuing a Level 6 Civil Engineering degree with a Training Provider.

You will study with Day release, spend four days a week in the office, and join a collaborative, supportive team that values diverse perspectives.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Civil Engineering apprenticeship offered with Day release at Edinburgh Napier University.
• Minimum UCAS points as defined (112) with required subjects in Mathematics and Analytical Science.
• Must meet minimum entry requirements and be eligible for Training Provider options.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering drawings and figures to support projects and technical reports.
• Contribute to technical reports and engineering notes.
• Undertake elements of highway, utilities and drainage design.
• Support infrastructure projects through design and delivery stages.
• Work with engineers, technicians and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop technical knowledge through hands-on project experience.
