Job summary

Stantec is offering a Degree Apprentice (Level 6) Civil Engineer - Water in Edinburgh for 2027. You’ll join a supportive team and learn from experienced engineers while earning a Level 6 BEng in Civil Engineering through our training Providers.

You’ll split time between the office (four days a week) and academic study on DV4 funded by Stantec, working on clean water and wastewater projects with Strathclyde and Edinburgh Napier as potential providers.

Qualifications

• Minimum UCAS points or equivalent as stated in entry requirements.
• Maths at grade B or above in A levels or equivalent subjects.
• Higher qualifications must include Mathematics and at least one analytical science.
• International qualifications accepted with specified criteria.

Responsibilities

• Support project work across stages from planning to detailed design.
• Learn how civil engineering helps address water sector challenges.
• Assist teams on projects for water supply resilience and sewer overflow solutions.
• Work with experienced colleagues to learn and develop professionally.

Education

112 UCAS points (minimum)

A level: BBC with Mathematics at B or above

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma: DMM with Maths/Further Maths

Scottish Highers: 4 Highers including Mathematics

Irish Highers: H3,H3,H3,H3 incl Mathematics

International Baccalaureate: 32 points with HL5 in Math & Science
