BakerHicks in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our growing team, delivering civil designs for power and energy infrastructure projects including substations, grid connections, and renewable facilities.

You will design and specify civil works, produce drawings and reports, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and support early-career engineers while pursuing Chartered status. Hybrid working and clear career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience on civil infrastructure projects in power/energy sector preferred.
• Strong drainage, earthworks and external works knowledge.
• Working towards Chartered or Incorporated status (ICE/IStructE).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD for modelling and draughting.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, CDM and BIM processes.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Eligibility for security clearance.

Responsabilités

• Design and specify civil works for large-scale projects.
• Produce detailed drawings, specifications and reports to high standards.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams for safe, efficient solutions.
• Review calculations and subcontractor designs for compliance.
• Mentor early-career engineers and promote technical excellence.
