Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking a Civil Engineer to support a major nuclear new build programme, focusing on the development, review and update of civil engineering technical documentation across large-scale infrastructure and nuclear facilities.

You will work within a collaborative engineering environment, ensuring designs meet project requirements, standards and safety obligations, with opportunities to contribute to design reviews and technical documentation updates.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in civil structures, infrastructure engineering or construction engineering environments.
• Knowledge of civil engineering design processes, specifications and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review civil engineering technical specifications, design documentation and deliverables.
• Carry out civil engineering gap analysis for updates and changes.
• Update and develop civil engineering technical documentation, specifications and construction requirements.
• Support replication and adaptation of civil designs for nuclear new build infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather information and ensure design consistency.
• Review civil structures, geotechnical information and construction methodologies against project requirements.
• Participate in technical workshops, engineering reviews and stakeholder meetings.
• Ensure engineering documentation complies with industry standards, health and safety legislation and project quality requirements.
