Job summary

Bloor Homes is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Southern Regional Office in Newbury. You will deliver civil engineering packages, design roads and sewers, and coordinate Section 38/104 developments with approving bodies.

The role involves managing external consultants and ensuring compliance with building regulations. We value experience with house builders or consultancies, familiarity with Highway Standards and AutoCAD, and a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach.

Qualifications

• Experience of working for a house builder or consultancy.
• Production of engineering designs.
• HNC in Civil Engineering Studies or similar.
• Extensive knowledge of Section 38, 104 and 278 agreements.
• Knowledge and application of Highway Design Standards.
• Sewers for adoption.
• Building Regs Part H & BS8301.
• AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Compile and deliver civil engineering packages across the division.
• Develop road and sewer designs with approving bodies.
• Prepare/Coordinate detailed Section 38 and Section 104 designs.
• Prepare/Coordinate external levels drawings and private drainage drawings.
• Brief and manage the Foundation Design Consultant.
• Assemble and deliver the civil engineering package.
• Obtain Section 38 and Section 104 approvals.
• Complete Section 38 and Section 104 agreements.
• Discharge engineering related and building related issues.
• Assist in the discharge of engineering related planning conditions.
• Arrange Section 38 and Section 104 maintenance inspections and bond releases.
