Job summary

Bloor Homes is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to be based in our Western Regional Office. You will deliver complete civil engineering packages across the division, supporting design, construction and maintenance from highways to drainage facilities.

The role offers high-quality training, long-term career progression and benefits within a family-run business. Experience with Section 38/104, AutoCAD and PDS is valuable.

Qualifications

• Experience of working for a house builder or consultancy.
• Production of engineering designs.
• HNC in Civil Engineering Studies or similar.
• Extensive knowledge of Section 38, 104 and 278 agreements.
• Knowledge and application of highways design standards; sewers for adoption; BuildingRegs Part H & BS8301; PDS design software; Microdrainage; AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing site appraisals.
• Develop road and sewer designs with approving bodies.
• Coordinate Section 38 and Section 104 designs.
• Coordinate external levels drawings and private drainage drawings.
• Manage the Foundation Design Consultant and deliver the civil engineering package.
• Obtain Section 38 and Section 104 approvals and maintenance inspections.
