Job summary

Bloor Homes - Design & Technical in the Western Regional Office invites an experienced Civil Engineer to join the team. You will deliver complete civil engineering packages, including road and sewer designs, and manage Section 38/104 processes to meet high industry standards.

The role requires collaboration with approving bodies and internal teams, producing site appraisals, and coordinating drainage and foundation design activity to support our house-building projects across the division.

Qualifications

• Experience with house builders or consultancies.
• Ability to produce engineering designs.
• HNC in Civil Engineering Studies or similar.
• Knowledge of Section 38, 104 and 278 agreements.
• Knowledge of Highway Design Standards.
• Knowledge of Sewers for adoption.
• Knowledge of Building Regs Part H & BS8301.
• Familiarity with PDS design software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in site appraisals.
• Develop road and sewer designs with approving bodies.
• Prepare/Co-ordinate detailed Section 38 and Section 104 designs.
• Prepare/Co-ordinating external levels drawings.
• Prepare/Co-ordinating private drainage drawings.
• Briefing and managing the Foundation Design Consultant.
• Assembling and delivering the civil engineering package.
• Obtaining Section 38 and Section 104 approvals.
• Obtaining foundation design approvals.
• Completing Section 38 and Section 104 agreements.
• Discharging engineering related and building related issues.
• Assisting in the discharge of engineering related planning conditions.
• Arranging for Section 38 and Section 104 maintenance inspections and bond releases.
• Attending meetings that may be necessary in the performance of your duties.
• Complying with and uphold company policies and procedures.
• Undertaking any additional tasks as may reasonably be required from time to time.

We are recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineer, to be based in our Western Regional Office (GL20 7FU). The role will be both challenging yet rewarding, compiling and delivering complete civil engineering packages across the division.
