Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Building Design Practice on diverse UK infrastructure projects, including drainage, pavements, and external works. You will contribute to designs from concept through construction with senior support.

The role offers hybrid/remote working within a national UK framework and opportunities to work on international projects, with development and mentorship from experienced civil and structural engineers.

Qualifications

• Honors Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred) or HND or equivalent experience.
• Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (MICE).
• Experience in the design and analysis of drainage, utilities, paved and unpaved surfaces, earthworks, access and accessibility, construction logistics.
• Good communication and presentation skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to use AutoCAD and Civils3D; Revit BIM360 experience desirable.
• Ability to use Infodrainage or Flow for drainage hydraulics; Swept Path Analysis in AutoCAD.
• Embrace new technologies including digital engineering, automation and parametric design.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the delivery of small to medium infrastructure projects as part of a technically focused design.
• Production of designs for projects in accordance with relevant design standards and codes.
• Ensuring the provision of efficient and high‑quality engineering services.
• Effectively manage own time. Collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary design team.
• Comply with Quality and Technical Assurance Procedures.
• Be aware of BIM standards and the project BIM Execution plan; collaborate with colleagues and clients.
