Job summary

ICE Recruit is seeking a Civil Engineer to join a growing consultancy in Hitchin, working on a varied project portfolio from concept through detailed design. The role involves producing robust engineering drawings and coordinating with clients, contractors and authorities.

Civil Engineer

£40k-£44k plus benefits

Are you a Civil Engineer looking for your next challenge with a growing consultancy and a varied project portfolio?

Our client is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer with 2-5 years' experience to join their team in Hitchin. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys getting involved in projects from concept through to detailed design and wants to develop their career across a broad range of sectors.

The role will involve producing outline and detailed civil engineering designs and drawings, working closely with clients, contractors and the wider supply chain, and liaising with local authorities, statutory bodies and other stakeholders to secure the necessary approvals.

The successful candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification, together with experience across sectors such as residential, education, commercial, development and regeneration.

Strong technical experience is required across highways and drainage, including S38 and S278, S104 and S185, detailed drainage design and modelling, SuDS, flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, pavement design and specifications. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Vehicle Tracking and Causeway Flow (or similar) is also highly desirable.
