Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead infrastructure design for residential developments in Alderley Edge. You will manage projects from land acquisition through to site completion, ensuring designs are economical, compliant and delivered on schedule.
The role requires a BSc/BEng/HND in Civil Engineering, UK experience with a housebuilder or consultancy, AutoCAD skills, and ability to coordinate consultants and authorities.
Office-based, salary £65,000–£70,000 DOE.

Hours: 08:00 - 17:30, Monday to Friday (Office Based)
To lead, manage, and deliver infrastructure and engineering designs for residential housing developments. You will oversee projects from initial land acquisition through to site completion, ensuring all engineering solutions are cost-effective, compliant, and delivered on schedule.
Manage civil and structural designs for roads, drainage, sewers, and foundations.
Secure timely Section 38, Section 278, and Section 104 legal agreements with local authorities and water companies.
Appoint, brief, and manage external engineering consultants to ensure high-quality outputs and project delivery.
Review architectural and engineering layouts to identify cost savings, efficiencies, and buildability improvements.
Provide immediate technical advice and engineering solutions to site managers to resolve active site issues.
Assess new land opportunities for engineering constraints, abnormal costs, drainage viability, and development risks.
Ensure all designs comply with statutory regulations, Building Regulations, health and safety requirements, and NHBC standards.
BSc, BEng, or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven track record working for a UK housebuilder, residential developer, or civil engineering consultancy.
Strong understanding of adoptable highways, drainage systems, Section Agreements, and foundation design.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Experience with MicroDrainage/Causeway Flow and COINS would be highly advantageous.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with local authority officers, statutory bodies, and key stakeholders.
