Job summary

Galliford Try Group is looking for a Civil Design Engineer - Environment in Warrington to join the Engineering Design Team. You will work with Design Manager(s) and Leads to deliver high-quality designs for water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance with GT processes, BMS, and HSE standards.

You will assist with governance of design activities, support procurement and site work, and help develop graduate/assistant engineers within the discipline.

Qualifications

• Required qualification: recognised relevant subject to HNC/Degree level.
• Knowledge of The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974 and CDM 2015.
• Basic knowledge of sub-contract processes – contract and commercial.
• Basic appreciation of project management – programming, cash flow, resource planning.
• Willingness to work towards ICE membership.
• Experience in Infra or Non-Infra Civil Design.
• Experience in Water Industry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design to GT process and in compliance with BMS and H&S Regulations.
• Provide technical support to the supply chain procurement activities and support site activities.
• Support development of discipline graduate/assistant engineers.
