Job Title: Civil Engineer – Non-Infrastructure Water Projects

Binnies, a respected engineering consultancy and part of the RSK Group, is currently seeking Civil Engineers to support our non-infrastructure UK water and wastewater engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to take on a lead technical position, helping to shape the delivery of sustainable water infrastructure that supports communities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as a technical expert across water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects
2. Lead and review the production of engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports
3. Ensure adherence to internal and industry standards, health and safety requirements, and quality procedures
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams
5. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
6. Lead project elements and coordinate with structural, geotechnical, and hydraulic specialists
7. Support the development of sustainable and cost-effective design solutions
8. Assist in the management of project budgets, schedules, and technical risks

Requirements

1. Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
2. Extensive experience in civil design, particularly within the water/wastewater sector (non-infrastructure)
3. Familiarity with design and build environments
4. Experience leading teams and managing multidisciplinary collaboration
5. Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership (ICE or equivalent) preferred
6. Strong communication and leadership skills
