Job summary

NRL in Enfield seeks an experienced Construction Manager to oversee planning and delivery of civil engineering works on a major project. You will lead site operations, manage teams, and ensure health and safety standards align with the programme and budget.

You will drive quality assurance, coordinate with subcontractors and stakeholders, monitor progress and risks, and optimise resources to deliver safely, on time and within cost.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a Construction Manager or senior site lead in civil engineering.
• Knowledge of groundworks, structures and site operations.
• Strong leadership to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation and site compliance.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all construction activities across civil works packages
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and key stakeholders to maintain project performance
• Maintain accurate programme tracking and proactively resolve any delays or issues
• Drive full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards across all works
• Ensure quality assurance procedures and specifications are adhered to throughout delivery
• Oversee site resources, logistics, and planning to maintain operational efficiency
• Provide progress reports, risk assessments, and leadership input to the wider project team
