Job Title: Civil and Structural Designer

Location: Warrington -- Hybrid

Job type: Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Our client, an engineering company, is seeking a Civil and Structural Designer for a permanent and contract position in Warrington. This role is within the Oil & Gas, Construction, or highly regulated industries.

We have both contract and permanent positions available.

Role

As a Civil & Structural Designer, you will carry out all design activities, participate in internal and external design reviews, and support the Project Design Lead & Lead Civil and Structural Engineer.

You may be responsible for one project or a portfolio of projects, depending on size and complexity. You will interpret general arrangement drawings and scopes of work, developing them into engineering designs.

You will identify changes to the design scope and report them to the Project Design Lead & Lead Engineer. Drive quality in all engineering designs, including checking discipline design deliverables to company procedures.

Experience

If you meet the following criteria, we look forward to hearing from you:

• More than 5 years of experience as a Civil & Structural designer in single-discipline and multi-discipline projects within an engineering/EPCM/EPC company in relevant sectors.
• Deep knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, or similar software, capable of carrying out designs independently.
• Strong understanding of Civil and Structural engineering and design, as well as other disciplines (EC&I, Mechanical, Piping, and Process).
• HNC / HND in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician qualification (preferred).
• Ability to produce and develop design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, steel detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, and schedules.
• Experience with temporary works designs (preferred).
