Job type: Permanent and Contract (Inside IR35)

Our client, an engineering company, is seeking a Civil and Structural Designer for both permanent and contract positions in Warrington. This role is within the Oil & Gas, Construction, or highly regulated industries.

We offer both contract and permanent positions.

Role

As a Civil & Structural Designer, you will carry out all design activities, participate in internal and external design reviews, and support the Project Design Lead & Lead Civil and Structural Engineer.

You may be responsible for one project or a portfolio of projects, depending on size and complexity. Your tasks include interpreting general arrangement drawings and scopes of work, developing them into engineering designs, identifying design scope changes, and ensuring quality in all engineering designs.

Experience

If you meet the following criteria, we look forward to hearing from you:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Civil & Structural designer in single- and multi-discipline projects within an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company in relevant sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Advance Steel, or similar software, with the ability to work independently.
• Strong knowledge of Civil and Structural engineering and design, including other disciplines such as EC&I, Mechanical, Piping, and Process.
• HNC / HND in Civil / Structural Engineering (preferred).
• Incorporated Engineer or Engineering Technician qualification (preferred).
• Ability to produce and develop design deliverables including 3D models, GA drawings, steel detailing, reinforced concrete detailing, and schedules.
• Experience with temporary works designs (preferred).
