Plymouth City Council seeks a Programme Manager to lead significant housing projects in the City Centre. This role involves overseeing the redevelopment of the Civic Centre and collaborating with Homes England. Candidates should have a proven track record in managing complex projects and a passion for urban regeneration.
As part of our newly established strategic partnership with Homes England, the Council is embarking on an accelerated programme of housing delivery in the City Centre.
This newly established role, reporting to the Head of Regeneration and growth, will include overseeing two
programmes of work:
1) Leadership of the Civic Centre redevelopment project, converting former City Centre municipal offices into housing; and
2) Leading a joint programme of work with Homes England to unlock housing sites across the city centre, working with the private sector.
You will be an accomplished programme manager or project director, with experience of delivering large and complex projects from inception to delivery. Comfortable coordinating a large multi-disciplinary team to ensure that transformational outputs are delivered, you must also bring a passion for regeneration and a track record of delivery.
This role provides the opportunity to lead one of the largest projects in the City, working closely with Homes England and the award-winning Economic Development team.
