Job summary

Worcester City Council is seeking a cleaning operative to help maintain cleanliness in the City Centre, including St Martin’s Gate Car Park. You will join a small team of around five operatives and work on a rota of five days out of seven, with weekends included.

The role involves litter-picking, bin-emptying, toilet cleansing and other cleansing tasks in outdoor city locations, adapting to all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience of carrying out a wide variety of street cleansing duties.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work unsupervised and to a high standard.
• Excellent customer care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleanse and maintain St Martin’s Gate Car Park and City Centre areas.
• Carry out litter-picking, bin-emptying and toilet cleansing tasks.
• Perform general cleansing duties as required.
• Work on a rota of 5 out of 7 days, including weekends.
