Job summary

NCR Atleos is looking for a Cash in Transit Officer to work in Birmingham. You’ll drive and courier cash, sometimes solo or with a partner, ensuring secure transport and clear documentation while meeting tight deadlines.

The role is a 45‑hour week across four days with paid breaks and occasional weekend shifts. Salary £35,766.10 per annum, overtime and a company bonus scheme; joining bonus £1,000 if you hold a valid CVIT SIA licence. Full screening and compliance checks apply.

Cash in Transit Officer – Birmingham, B7 4AJ

Salary: £35,766.10 per annum, 45‑hour contract, with overtime and a company bonus scheme. Joining bonus: £1,000 if you hold a valid CVIT SIA licence.

Shifts: 45 hours per week across 4 days (11.25 hours per shift, including paid breaks), between 4:20am and 8:00pm, with weekend work on rota basis.

About the Role

As a Cash in Transit Officer, you’ll help ensure the safe and secure transport of cash between locations, supporting service delivery while mitigating business risks. You’ll switch between driving and courier duties, working solo or alongside a partner to keep operations running smoothly.

Main Responsibilities

• Work alone or with a partner as a driver or courier, depending on assigned duties.
• Service ATM machines by ensuring secure transport and deployment of cash.
• Follow company processes and complete all associated documentation in line with operational targets.
• Drive and park company vehicles responsibly, in line with the Highway Code, company policy, and procedures to ensure Health and Safety compliance.
• Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an efficient service.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues and branch management to address any issues or concerns within a reasonable timeframe and to a satisfactory standard.

Key Requirements

• Provide a continuous 10‑year employment and education history (gaps must be explained).
• Valid full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Valid CVIT SIA licence is desirable; if held, a £1,000 bonus follows probation; otherwise, you can obtain it through a fully funded training programme.
• Conscientious driving, full adherence to the Highway Code at all times.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to tight deadlines.
• All successful candidates must provide a 10‑year traceable work and education history, and complete a criminal record and credit background check.
