Job summary

Vue Cinemas is seeking a friendly Customer Assistant to greet guests, assist with queries, and help maintain a clean and welcoming cinema environment. You’ll answer questions about current films and showtimes, assist at tills, and share information on food, beverages, seating options, and accessibility features.

No prior experience required, just enthusiasm for delivering great guest experiences. You will work as part of a team that values collaboration, initiative, and dedication to memorable

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers into our cinema, offering a prompt service, and supporting queries to ensure a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for guests.
• Handling till points with pace and efficiency to manage queues while delivering high levels of service.
• Conveying information about current content features, showtimes, and alternatives if your first choice is sold out.
• Using training tools to confidently complete daily tasks and responsibilities.
• Communicating pricing and value of food, beverages, and other options to customers.
• Sharing knowledge about products and services, including VIP seating, accessibility options, and over 18 screenings.
• Explain how to purchase and enjoy food & beverage options and any promos or combos.
• Keeping all cinema areas clean and tidy, including counters, kitchens, screens, washrooms, foyer, and staff areas.
• Maintaining a safe environment and reporting any suspicious behavior or disruptions.
• Demonstrating a positive attitude, teamwork, and initiative in a busy environment.
• Presenting a neat appearance and a clear communicator with good verbal and written skills.
• Becoming confident with cinema technology such as tills and ticket scanners.
• Sharing a passion for film and the cinema industry and aligning with Vue core values.
