Job summary

Career Connect is seeking a confident CIAG Advisor and Employer Engagement Lead at HMP North Sea Camp to help offenders prepare for work on release and connect with employers for opportunities. The split role combines 0.5 FTE for CIAG advisory duties with 0.5 FTE for employer engagement, across East Midlands sites.

You will network with employers, organise employment events, and support offenders in learning, training and employment pathways, with occasional travel to other sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience of working with employers to seek opportunities for people facing multiple barriers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
• Experience helping offenders or other vulnerable groups to move forward in their lives.

Responsibilities

• Support offenders in custody as they prepare for work on release as CIAG Adviser.
• Provide links to employers and work in partnership with stakeholders to create events and activities for offenders in custody.
• Network with employers and organise employment events and activities linked to local and nationwide opportunities across East Midlands prison sites.
• Travel to other sites in the East Midlands area occasionally.
