Job summary

Isle of Wight College is seeking a dynamic Careers, Information, Advice and Guidance (CIAG) Coordinator to lead our careers provision and raise the profile of careers across the student journey.

You will coordinate a CIAG team, work with curriculum areas, and drive progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks to ensure high-quality careers education and progression opportunities for all students. Build relationships with employers, universities and partners to connect learners with the world of work.

Qualifications

  • Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent required.
  • Level 6 qualification in Careers/IAG or willingness to work towards within 2 years supported by the College.
  • Coaching, mentoring or relevant leadership qualification.
  • Understanding of the Gatsby Benchmarks and careers quality standards.
  • Knowledge of careers education and IAG within an education setting.
  • Experience of coordinating careers, IAG, progression or related student support.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the CIAG team and coordinate careers provision across the College.
  • Drive progress against the Gatsby Benchmarks to embed careers education throughout the student journey.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with employers, universities and partners to create progression opportunities.
  • Use labour market information and destinations data to shape an ambitious careers offer with measurable impact.
