Job summary

Seetec Business Technology Centre is seeking a part-time CIAG Adviser to support individuals in prison settings with tailored career coaching, workshops, and personalised action plans. You’ll empower clients to develop skills, confidence and aspirations for a fresh start beyond custody.

Location is HMP Downview, Surrey, with 0.8FTE (29.6 hours/week) on a permanent contract. Salary ranges from £26,351 to £29,944 per annum pro rata, plus benefits including generous leave, pension, healthcare, and

Responsibilities

  • Manage a prisoner caseload, supporting the achievement of personal and team targets and MI requirements.
  • Record all interactions with prisoners on relevant Justice systems and update case notes.
  • Document advice and goals in an agreed Learning and Work Plan with SMART goals and actions.
  • Meet and strive to exceed personal performance targets relating to the number of prisoners seen and reviews undertaken.
  • Work flexibly across different prisons to support continuity of service.
  • Attend custody meetings and travel to external events and training for CPD.

  • Record all interactions with prisoners on relevant Justice systems, updating case notes and local MI systems.
  • Document advice and goals in an agreed Learning and Work Plan with SMART goals and actions.
  • Meet and strive to exceed personal performance targets (Key Performance Indicators) relating to the number of prisoners seen, reviews undertaken and the number of prisoners moving forward in work and/or learning.
  • Work flexibly across different prisons to support continuity of service.
  • Attend custody meetings and where required travel to external events and training to support CPD.
