Job summary

The One Group is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a contract role in Castleford. You will work in a high-volume FMCG environment to analyze machinery and production lines, identify losses and implement practical CI solutions that reduce downtime and waste.

You will partner with engineering, production and operations teams to deliver measurable improvements, with an emphasis on hands-on problem solving and rapid impact. Immediate start offered.

CI Engineer | Contract Opportunity

I'm currently looking for a Continuous Improvement Engineer for a contract opportunity within a high-volume FMCG manufacturing environment.

This role would suit someone with a strong engineering background who has experience working in FMCG manufacturing, or a similar high-volume production environment, and who has a proven track record in Continuous Improvement across machinery and production lines.

Castleford (West Yorkshire)

Up to £500 per day (DOE)

Inside IR35

Monday to Friday - Immediate Start

Key experience were looking for:

• Engineering background within FMCG manufacturing
• Strong Continuous Improvement experience
• Hands-on experience working with manufacturing machinery and production lines
• Identifying and reducing downtime, waste and production losses
• Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
• Lean / CI methodologies
• Working closely with engineering, production and operational teams

The key is someone who can get into the detail of the machinery and processes, understand where losses are occurring, and then deliver practical improvements that have a measurable impact
