Job summary

COOK is seeking a Christmas Driver in Chelmsford to join our Retail Team. Casual/Fixed Term hours and a pay rate of £13.45 per hour apply, with duties including delivery to customers, ensuring safety, and providing excellent service.

Responsibilities include planning routes, communicating delays to the office, and completing end-of-shift paperwork. A valid UK Cat B licence and at least two years driving experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering goods or working as a courier is helpful.
• Strong customer service mindset with a focus on safety.
• Able to work flexibly and meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to customers' homes safely and on time.
• Provide remarkable service; the customer is the priority.
• Plan routes and inform the office of delays or issues.
• Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations.
• Complete and return paperwork at end of each shift.

The Role

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Carry out deliveries safely and in line with the responsibilities in our driver handbook.
• Plan your route to ensure efficient and timely delivery, communicating any delays or issues with our office team so the customer can be informed.
• Take care to look after your own safety and that of others. Drive in a safe and responsible manner, comply with all relevant traffic regulations, including adhering to speed limits
• Ensure all paperwork is correctly completed and returned to the office at the end of each shift.

Good to Have

Cat B Full Car/Van UK manual driving licence.Minimum of two years driving the class of vehicle. Aged 25 and over for Insurance.
