COOK is seeking a friendly Retail Team member to welcome customers, advise on products and promotions, and keep the shop well stocked and tidy. You will handle till duties, learn the necessary processes, and support daily operations with a positive, customer-first attitude.

Full training will be provided; prior retail or hospitality experience is a plus. Join a community-focused, B‑Corp certified team that values sustainability, people, and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Offer remarkable service, the customer is always more important than anything else you are doing.
• Use your knowledge to help customers plan menus or advise on catering for occasions. Talk to customers about upcoming offers, products and promotions.
• We are a food business - make sure the shop always looks immaculate, clean and spotless, stock is replenished and rotated, and the freezers are full.
• Be a whizz on the till. Operate it efficiently and accurately.
• Understand the shop paperwork, necessary legal checks and their purpose.
• Open up the shop. Close the shop, end-of-day reconciliation.
• Check in deliveries and placing orders, assist with stock taking as required.
• Look smart with apron, and name badge on at all times.

Good to Have

If you are a foodie then great, but we will train you to know our products, including how and where they are made, and to understand what dishes suit which occasions. Experience is not necessary but previous experience of working in retail or in a customer-facing role would be the icing on the cake. If you tick most of these boxes but not all - don't stress.
