Job summary

E.ON UK Ltd is seeking an on-site operations professional for the CHP plant in Kemsley, Kent. You'll work a 12-hour shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights, 6 off) to ensure safe, environmentally compliant and efficient operation of the plant, delivering reliability and meeting customer requirements.

The role involves fault investigations, maintenance support, and close liaison with the client to uphold contractual obligations while promoting a strong health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Substantial relevant practical experience in process, electrical, C&I or mechanical roles within a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of safety and environmental management and statutory legislation.
• IOSH (Managing Safely) or equivalent safety qualification is desirable.
• Experience with basic diagnostic fault finding and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Delivering availability and reliability through investigations of fault conditions.
• Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness on site.
• Prioritising workload and resources to meet contractual needs.
• Providing first line maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Supporting maintenance teams during projects and planned/reactive work.
• Contributing to site Health & Safety plan and implementing site objectives.
• Liaising with the client to maintain contractual obligations and good relations.
• Collaborating with other site team members to ensure smooth operations.
