Job summary

Neos Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to service CHP systems across the UK. You will travel in a company vehicle, performing scheduled maintenance and reacting to breakdowns at customer sites.

The role requires independent work and frequent travel with occasional overnight stays. Suitable candidates have CHP experience, LV electrical knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as a CHP Service Engineer or similar role.
Strong knowledge of LTHW hot water systems.
Experience with pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T and boiler operation.
Knowledge of BMS controls and LV power distribution.
Experience with control systems such as ComAp.
Hands-on electrical engineering knowledge for LV systems.

Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on CHP systems.
Attend reactive breakdowns and act as first responder to faults.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.
Complete detailed site reports with remedial actions.
Maintain regular communication with the Service team.
Provide technical support to colleagues and customers.

Maintenance Engineer - CHP

Location: Greater London

Salary: £36,(Apply online only) - £45,(Apply online only) + Overtime + Company Vehicle

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment: Full-time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are working with an established specialist in critical power, standby power and energy efficiency, with over 40 years' experience delivering generators, UPS, switchgear and CHP systems across the UK.

The Role

You will travel throughout the UK in a company vehicle, primarily carrying out scheduled servicing and reactive breakdown work on CHP systems.

You will work independently on customer sites while being supported by the wider technical and Service teams.

The role involves regular travel and occasional overnight stays, so a flexible approach to working patterns is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance on CHP systems.
Attend reactive breakdowns and act as a first responder to customer faults.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical and control-system faults.
Complete detailed site reports, highlighting required remedial actions and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain regular communication with the Service team.
Provide technical support to colleagues and customers.
Build strong customer relationships.
Carry out risk assessments and work in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
Protect company commercial and warranty interests.
Support customer and internal training where required.
Act as a strong technical representative and brand ambassador for the business.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

Minimum 3 years' relevant experience as a CHP Service Engineer or in a similar role.
Strong practical knowledge of LTHW hot water systems.
Experience with pumps, inverter drives, flow rates, delta T and boiler operation.
Knowledge of associated BMS controls.
Strong practical electrical engineering knowledge of LV power generation and distribution systems.
Practical knowledge of high-level control systems such as ComAp.
Experience with systems such as Web Supervisor, Inteli Monitor, Lite Edit, TEM and TPEM.
Ability to work with specialist equipment including flue gas analysers and digital water flow / temperature profiling equipment.
Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
Comfortable with high mileage driving and working away from home.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
