Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester is seeking a part-time Choral Tutor with proven pedagogical experience and a strong track record in leading choral ensembles. You will nurture exceptionally talented young singers aged 8-18 through holistic musical training and high standards of vocal education.

The role focuses on Chetham’s Voices, with group coaching and ensemble work for medium to large groups. Exact hours are Spring-restricted but may grow in subsequent years, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Proven pedagogical experience at the highest standards.
• Extensive experience leading choral and vocal ensembles.
• Experience developing holistic musical education for talented youth.

Responsabilités

• Deliver Chetham’s Voices and oversee choral activities.
• Commit to term-time hours with 1.5 hours/week over 6 rehearsal weeks (Spring) plus performances.
• Hours may increase in subsequent years; start January 2027, subject to checks.
