Job summary

Johnson Controls is recruiting a Chiller Service Engineer to service, maintain and repair chillers at Heathrow Airport. The role involves extensive site work with occasional travel to other customer locations, handling electrical, refrigeration and controls diagnostics.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, F-Gas Cat 1, and a track record with York/Trane/Carrier chillers, along with a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven fault-finding skills across refrigeration, electrical and controls systems.
• Reading and understanding technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive repairs and fault diagnosis.
• Electrical, refrigeration and controls troubleshooting.
• Identification of equipment improvements and upgrades.
• Completion of service documentation.
• Compliance with all health and safety procedures.
• Support of related HVAC equipment such as AHUs and ventilation systems.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a range of chiller systems across Heathrow Airport. The role is primarily site-based, with occasional travel to other customer locations when required.

Key responsibilities include

You may also support associated HVAC equipment, including AHUs, ventilation and cooling systems.

What We Are Looking For

• Essential
  • NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (Level 3 desirable)
  • F-Gas Category 1 Certification
  • Experience servicing and maintaining air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
  • Strong fault-finding skills across refrigeration, electrical and controls systems
  • Experience with manufacturers such as York, Trane, Carrier
  • Ability to read technical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Full UK driving licence

  • Experience working in airports, data centres, hospitals or other critical environments
