Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Mobile Chiller Service Technician to service, maintain and repair air‑cooled chillers across the South West. You will diagnose faults, perform PPM, and implement improvements while complying with safety standards and customer agreements.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in HVAC or equivalent (Level 3 desirable), F-Gas Category 1, and a full UK driving licence. Relevant manufacturer experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in HVAC or equivalent (Level 3 desirable).
• F-Gas 2079 Category 1 certification required.
• Strong knowledge of chillers, DX, split, VRV and AHU systems.
• Experience with York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, Hitachi and Mitsubishi Electric.
• Electrical and controls experience, including fault finding and rectification.
• Ability to read technical docs including electrical/piping schematics.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on air-cooled chillers across the South West.
• Diagnose faults and perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Complete repairs and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Work to customer agreements, procedures and health & safety standards.
• Ensure reliable and efficient operation of critical chiller systems.

What you will do

As a Chiller Service Technician , you will carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on air‑cooled chillers across the South West. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), completing repairs, and providing recommendations for equipment improvements and upgrades. You will work in accordance with customer agreements, company procedures, and health and safety standards at all times, ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of critical chiller systems.
