Job summary

Fowler Welch in Evesham is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee a chilled distribution operation. This hands-on role involves motivating colleagues, ensuring productivity, loading accuracy, and meeting service standards in a 2–4°C environment.

The position is full-time with a Wednesday to Saturday night shift (18:00–06:00). Salary is £38,763 per annum, with rewards for top performers and opportunities within a multi-award-winning logistics provider.

Qualifications

Experience in a fast-paced warehouse operation.
Experience in a chilled environment is advantageous.
Team leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to motivate teams and deliver KPIs.
Proficient IT and basic computer applications.
MHE/PPT licence or experience.
Able to work in temperatures between 2–4°C.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the warehouse team to maintain high productivity and accuracy.
Deliver daily operational targets, including despatch deadlines and KPIs.
Coordinate training and compliance for loading procedures, FLT, PPT and manual handling.
Champion health and safety by enforcing procedures and reporting hazards.
Maintain hygiene and quality standards, including temperature checks and HACCP.
Control activity by following outbound load plans and implementing improvements.
Manage day-to-day people matters: holidays, shifts, timekeeping and attendance.
Foster strong relationships with operations, HR and other sites.
