Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Children’s Support Worker (Residential) in Neath, Wales. You’ll work 2:1 with other staff to support children in their homes, helping them build independence, wellbeing and safe routines.

The role requires empathy, resilience, at least 6 months’ experience with children or in social care, restraint training or willingness to undertake the 3‑day course, a valid UK driving licence, DBS update service or willingness to obtain one, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
• Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature.
• At least 6 months’ experience working with children or in a similar social care setting.
• Restraint training: restraint trained, or willing to undergo the 3-day course.
• Valid UK driving licence (required for the Children’s Support Worker role in Neath)
• Current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
• Right to work in the UK
