Job summary

A professional staffing agency is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker in Durham to support children in finding stability and security in their placements. Responsibilities include assessments and working collaboratively with teams. The ideal candidate will have fostering experience and excellent communication skills. This is a 3-month contract with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in Fostering.
• Strong understanding of the role within a Connected Carers Team.

Responsibilities

• Complete Reg 24 viability assessments and Full Connected Carers assessments.
• Support, supervise, and conduct reviews with Connected Carers.
• Provide guidance and assistance to carers transitioning from a family/friend role to a carer role.

Are you an experienced social worker looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Our client in Durham is seeking a Mou Childrens Social Worker to join their Connected Carers Team to support children in finding stability and security in their placements.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Complete Reg 24 viability assessments and Full Connected Carers assessments
• Support, supervise, and conduct reviews with Connected Carers
• Provide guidance and assistance to carers transitioning from a family/friend role to a carer role
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the best outcomes for children in care

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience working in Fostering
• Strong understanding of the role within a Connected Carers Team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
