Cambian Group is seeking aSenior Support Worker to lead shifts, support care teams and help children aged 8-18 with complex needs. You will travel with youths to school or college, assist with daily living, meals and activities, and contribute to individual care plans.

Offer includes a Refer a Friend scheme (£500), full on-shift meals, parking, training plans, 28 days’ holiday, sickness pay, pension and health benefits. DBS checks required.

Competenze

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • 12 months senior experience in a residential setting is highly desirable.
  • DBS and reference checks will be undertaken per government regulations.

Mansioni

  • Lead shifts and deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
  • Support team development and ensure mandatory learning is up to date.
  • Maintain accurate records and write notes for monitoring and evaluation.

Children's Residential Senior Support Worker

In addition to a ***£500 Refer a Friend Scheme *** - we offer:

Shift Pattern: 16>24 Hour (including Sleep-in) on a one on two off or two on four off basis.

Of-course - no day is the same here at the Cambian Group, however here is what a day in the life of one of our Senior Support Workers could look like:

  • Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager where required
  • Ensuring that our incredible team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development
  • Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation
  • Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place
  • Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
  • Providing support and care to the young people within our services
  • Encouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or to engage in their current schooling
  • Traveling with our young people to and from School or College
  • Preparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) throughout the day to ensure a wonderful environment for the young people in our care
  • Organising and facilitating social activities

Requirements:
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence
  • Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent Children & Younger Peoples workforce
  • 12 months senior experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable but we do also encourage applications from those at the start of their journey
  • Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
